Agreement to terms

By installing or using the Keyword Cluster Chrome extension, visiting the Keyword Cluster website (keywordcluster.net), or using any related services (“Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. The Service is offered in compliance with the Chrome Web Store Developer Program Policies and other applicable Google policies for extensions.

Description of the extension

Keyword Cluster is a Chrome extension with a single purpose: to provide SEO keyword insights (keyword clusters, long-tail keyword suggestions, and search intent analysis) directly on Google (and optionally Bing) search results pages when you choose to use the feature. The extension does not change search results; it displays additional panels with keyword data to help with SEO research. It runs only on the domains you permit (e.g. google.com) and only when you have the extension enabled.

Not affiliated with Google or Chrome

Keyword Cluster is not created by, affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google LLC, or its subsidiaries. Google, Chrome, and related logos are trademarks of Google LLC. We are an independent developer offering this extension in accordance with Chrome Web Store policies. Use of Google products and services is subject to Google’s own terms and privacy policy.

Extension permissions

The Keyword Cluster extension requests the following Chrome permissions only to provide the stated functionality:

• Storage — to save your preferences (e.g. on/off, country, which sections to show) locally in your browser. This data is not sent to our servers.
• Active tab / Tabs — to detect when you are on a supported search page and to provide the extension popup and options.
• Host permissions (e.g. google.com, bing.com) — to inject the keyword insights panel on search results pages when you have the extension enabled. We do not read your browsing history; we only run on the search pages you visit when the extension is on.

We do not use permissions for any purpose other than delivering the extension’s stated functionality. For full details on data handling, see our Privacy Policy.

Usage rules

You agree to use the Service only in a lawful manner and in accordance with these terms.

• You will not use the Service to violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights.
• You will not use the Service to send or process malicious, offensive, or illegal content, or to attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system or data.
• You will not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the Service or the extension, except where permitted by law.
• You will not resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service or its output in a way that competes with or undermines the Service without our written permission.
• You will not use automated means (e.g. bots or scripts) to abuse or overload the Service.

We may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you have breached these usage rules.

Liability limits

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee that the Service will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted.

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• We exclude all warranties, whether express or implied (including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement).
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunity, arising from or related to your use of the Service.
• Our total liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars (USD 100), whichever is greater. If you have not paid us, our liability is limited to USD 100.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities, so some of the above may not apply to you. In such cases, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Service availability

We strive to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uptime or continuous access.

• We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time, with or without notice.
• We may change features, data sources, or response formats as we develop the product.
• We are not liable for any downtime, unavailability, or loss of functionality, including due to maintenance, third-party services, or circumstances beyond our control.

It is your responsibility to back up any data or outputs you rely on. We do not guarantee that keyword insights or other results will be available for any particular query or period.

Intellectual property

The Service, including the Keyword Cluster name, logo, extension, website, design, text, graphics, and software, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own personal or internal business use in accordance with these terms. This license does not give you any ownership or rights to our intellectual property. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service (or any part of it) without our prior written consent.

Any feedback, ideas, or suggestions you provide about the Service may be used by us without obligation to you. You retain no intellectual property rights in such feedback to the extent we use it to improve the Service.

Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices. By using the Service you consent to the practices described there. The Privacy Policy is required by and consistent with the Chrome Web Store Developer Program Policies.

Refunds and pricing

The Keyword Cluster Chrome extension is currently free to use. If we introduce paid features or subscriptions in the future, pricing and refund terms will be clearly stated at the point of purchase and may be subject to the Chrome Web Store’s payment and refund policies. You will not be charged without your consent.

Age and eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age required in your country to use online services) to use the Service. If you are under 18, you should use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or guardian. By using the Service you represent that you meet these requirements.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will post the updated terms on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service.

Compliance with Chrome Web Store policies

We comply with the Chrome Web Store Developer Program Policies, including those related to single purpose, permission use, user data disclosure, prohibited content, and deceptive behavior. If you believe the extension violates Chrome Web Store policies, you may report it through the Chrome Web Store or contact us directly.

General

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which we operate, without regard to conflict of law principles. If any part of these terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining parts remain in effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision does not waive that right or provision.
