Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 7, 2026
Overview
Keyword Cluster (“we”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices. It applies to the Keyword Cluster Chrome extension (available on the Chrome Web Store), the website keywordcluster.net, and any related services. We do not collect any personal data except as described below. This disclosure is provided in accordance with the Chrome Web Store Developer Program Policies.
What data we collect
We do not collect any personal data from you.
The only data we use is the search query you enter when you have the Keyword Cluster Chrome extension enabled and you choose to use the clustering feature. We use this query solely to generate keyword clusters, long-tail suggestions, and search intent insights for you. We do not collect your name, email, IP address, or any other identifying information.
Any settings you change in the extension (e.g. country, which sections to show) are stored locally in your browser via Chrome’s storage API. We do not receive or store those settings on our servers.
We do not collect, store, or retain your name, email address, physical address, phone number, or any other personally identifiable information. We do not store search queries on our servers after processing them to return keyword insights to you.
Are search queries processed?
Yes, but only when you allow it. When the extension is turned on and you perform a search on Google, the search query may be sent to our systems to generate keyword cluster results. This processing happens only to provide the clustering feature. We do not use search queries for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than returning keyword insights to you.
Cookies
Our website (keywordcluster.net) does not use cookies for tracking or advertising. If we use any strictly necessary cookies in the future (e.g. for basic site function), we will update this policy.
The Keyword Cluster Chrome extension does not use cookies. It uses Chrome’s built-in storage (local/sync) only to save your preferences (e.g. on/off, country, section visibility) on your device.
Analytics
We do not use analytics or tracking tools that collect personal data in the Keyword Cluster extension. We do not track which queries you run or how you use the extension for analytics purposes.
Our website may use minimal, anonymized analytics (e.g. to count visits) that do not identify you. Any such use will be described here and kept to a minimum.
Third-party services
To provide keyword clustering, we may use third-party infrastructure or services (e.g. hosting, APIs) that process the search query you submit. Those providers are used only to deliver the feature and are bound by appropriate data handling practices. We do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising or marketing.
When you use the extension, you are also subject to Google’s privacy policy for Google Search and Chrome. We do not control how Google handles data.
Your choices
You can turn the Keyword Cluster extension off at any time in the extension popup. When it is off, no search queries are sent to our systems. You can also uninstall the extension to stop any processing entirely.
Data retention and storage
Search queries sent to our systems are used only to generate keyword cluster results and are not stored or retained for longer than necessary to provide the response. We do not build a history or profile of your searches. Preferences stored in your browser (via Chrome storage) remain on your device until you clear them or uninstall the extension.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the latest version. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
